Retail & Distribution

Thousands of small sales a day have to add up to one accurate picture of stock and money.

The sector

Retail & Distribution in Saudi Arabia.

Retail and distribution in the Kingdom run on thin margins and high volumes: many branches, thousands of items, and stock moving between warehouses, vans and shelves every day. Under ZATCA's e-invoicing rules every sale must also produce a compliant invoice, and for businesses in Phase 2 that invoice has to reach the FATOORA platform.

The core of a retailer or distributor is the ERP: items, prices, purchasing, warehouses, branches and accounts in one place, with the point of sale connected to it. Around it sit ZATCA e-invoicing, dashboards by branch and product, and integrations with delivery apps, e-commerce and suppliers.

FAQ

Retail & Distribution: questions we hear.

ERPNext in most cases, because its cost doesn't grow with each cashier or storekeeper and it covers stock, purchasing, POS and ZATCA in one system. Odoo is a good choice when an online store is central to the business. We are an official partner of both.

Not always. We can integrate an existing POS with the ERP and with ZATCA, or replace it with the ERPNext point of sale if that is simpler. It depends on how many branches you have and how well the current POS handles Phase 2.

Each device or system that issues invoices is onboarded with ZATCA as an e-invoice generation unit. We plan the onboarding of every branch and device so all of them are live before your wave's deadline.
